I mastered the art of
delicious George's Shake today -- more liquid; 1/3 c.of shake mix and half
a banana with a sprinkle of cinnamon. It was perfect and
tasty! |
|
George's Shake has been a very important tool for me. If I have a shake first thing in the morning, I honestly have *no cravings* for sugar. Before trying the shake, I had a bad habit of going for coffee and donuts most mornings. Now, when I have the shake I can drive right by the donut shop without even *thinking* about donuts. That is a miracle for me! |

I love the way
George's Shake has all the vitamins right there in the shake. I don't need to worry
about sorting out bottles of pills, or how much liquid
or powdered vitamins
I'm supposed to put in what. I just
drink the shake, and thus get all the
vitamins for the day, right in the glass! |
|
I love the shake -- and now I love breakfast! I played with the ratio of liquid to powder and found the right one. |
|
This is the best breakfast I've ever had -and I simply don't get hungry or feel like I need to go prowl the machines at the office - and I get through all the food events at work just fine - my office is about 85% women and we have a LOT of food events - major nurturers there, and about half don't have kids at home any more, so we all feed each other - |
|
When I first tried it, I thought it was kinda bland, of course I had been drinking a can of Slim Fast twice a day. After a couple of months, I *got* - whew! This is awesome stuff!!! |

I work in a hospital
emergency room, where sometimes we don't even get a break for lunch. Even going to the bathroom is a challenge at
times. I find that if I bring
George's Shake in a thermos, and drink it from a coffee cup at the nurse's
station, it helps keep me clear-headed, my blood sugar level, and my emotions in
check. Stress doesn't get to me the way
it used to. I am *so* glad to have this
option. | ![]() |

I mix mine with 8 oz of soy milk, a banana and a large glass of crushed ice and it is everything I hoped it would be. I love it. Thanks |
|
It is really good,
very light, fresh, with a natural goodness--perhaps a hint of vanilla? It has
been a life saver with my pregnancy. I was so nauseated one night, waking up at
midnight and feeling so horrible. My husband made me a George's Shake (he was
the one that discovered using a bit less than the whole scoop). Within moments
of drinking some of it, I was laughing and watching Saturday Night Live. We
were so grateful! We knew I needed protein but when feeling so sick the LAST
thing you can contemplate is eating cheese and crackers or something! But a
delicious, creamy shake? No problem! Thanks a million! |

I'm a "shake a
day" person myself, partly because I love it and like how I feel the rest
of the day when I start with a shake in the morning. And also because it is so fast and easy to prepare and clean up
after. I especially like George's shake
because it is complete. It has the oats
and all of the recommended supplements in the mix. I just add cold oat milk and a few frozen berries, blend, and
breakfast is ready. |
|
I love it! When I make it with ice & juice and a
half a banana, I'm very satisfied with the taste. I cannot understate how important
this "blend" of protein & vitamins and minerals is for me &
my son who has ADHD. The shake in the
morning is a very grounding thing for both of us. He's able to focus more at school & I'm able to stick to my
eating plan. It's different than having
the right amount of protein in the morning.
I've been trying to figure out why & I think...(with no scientific
evidence for my hunch) that the vitamins and minerals are more effectively
absorbed and do their job better in the biochemical brain balancing act when
combined with the protein powder. So,
keep up the good work with the shake problem solving. We'd be lost without it! |
|
I am diabetic and have problems with low blood sugar in the morning so using a whole banana in the shake isn't a problem. I've checked my bG after that (2 hours) and it's in normal range (100 to 120). Most of the other stuff I use for carbs with my morning protein send the bG a lot higher. So this shake with the banana is a lot of bang for the buck. I keep forgetting to buy protein powder to add to it. But I like it the way it is. It just seems like the best fruit to use with it is banana. |
|
I used George's Shake so much I wore out my blender! True story! I count on it regularly for breakfast. On days I feel I need more protein, I'll eat an egg or another form of protein. Also, I use the shake as a pre- and post-workout snack (half before, half after), which seems to give me more energy for the workout and keeps my BEs steady afterward. | ![]() |

My husband just got clean and sober. As you suggested we added banana to his shake. It helped him a lot the first couple of weeks. NOW it is just a regular part of his recovery routine. I got so intrigued, I started having it myself. YUM!!! |
|
I use it for those
unexpected late evenings at work or at times when there just isn't time for
dinner. It's the great meal substitute
for the workaholic! |

I've been using the Shake for breakfast for 2 years. I love that it is simple and fast to make, goes down ever so smoothly, and made with Oat Milk tastes really great. It is a bit of sweet from the milk that satisfies but doesn't trigger cravings for other sugar. It's been a staple for me, wouldn't be breakfast without it. |
|
I let it blend for
about 30 seconds after all the stuff is in and then pour. This gives me 2
large frothy glasses of wonderful stuff, with a few tiny lumps
of banana. Not a problem. I used to rarely eat bananas. |
|
At first, I thought the cost of the shake was more than I could do. But now I see that it is *well worth* the money. Even a trip through McDonald's drive-through for breakfast (which I don't do anymore, LOL) costs between $2.00 and $4.00. Coffee and a muffin at Starbuck's runs me $5.00 . Running down to the "roach coach" at work, on my break, costs about $3.00. George's Shake is far less expensive, and I feel *great* when I use it! |
|
Half a George's shake
is perfect for those days I work out after work, and need something extra to
carry me to dinner. I use frozen
berries in it, and I really enjoy the taste.
I resisted the idea of shakes initially, but now I swear by them when I
need something on the run or a pre-workout meal. | ![]() |

I give it to my sons, the athletes, after school, before practice. They LOVE it!! Great energy. Thank you!!! |
| George's Shake is excellent with soy milk. It takes bland soy milk, at best an acquired taste, and makes it into something pretty darn good. It is very satisfying too. I will be ordering more. Keep up the good work. |

When I first attempted step one, I found it very difficult due to my crazy schedule that I worked. Who can eat at two in the morning? Well, not me. So, I gave Mr. George (George's Shake) a try. And whala! I've done it ever since, without a waver at all on step one. It tastes really great! It is super convenient, with all the vitamins in it already and the carbs too! After almost a year and a half using the George's Shake, I find it gives me great stability on this program. I use oat milk, frozen fruit, and flax oil in my shake...it's creamy and delicious! Thanks George and Kathleen! |
